Mark Womersley is a port and logistics consultant with over 20 years experience in the government, port and oil and gas sectors, helping organizations and their leaders develop the capacity to manage material risks and deliver transformational changes through performance assurance.
Mark holds a Master’s degree in Hydrography and a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science. He has worked as a consultant in the oil and gas and ports sectors for over 10 years. His experience includes port consulting, strategic studies, management support, feasibility studies, due diligence, permitting and environmental approvals, compliance and specialist social and environmental risk studies. He is experienced in stakeholder communication, social consulting and capacity building in the port and oil and gas sectors.
Mark was the principal architect for operational oil slick detection in the West Java Sea, Indonesia. He led an R&D team to develop a digital tidal atlas for the port of Singapore and has advised on the development of vessel performance management products and services. Mark has extensive experience in business development and marketing, having served as a CEO of a joint venture between industrial partners and the Government of Singapore. He has served as a Director for ports and logistics companies in both Singapore and Indonesia.
He has presented at numerous seminars and conferences across Asia Pacific, including Indonesia on the subject of environmental forensics and remote sensing.
