Working with GHK a major economics consultancy from Hong Kong, DWA prepared a blue print for the development of the cruise sector in Malaysia. With an emphasis on stimulating private investors and companies to take advantage of the growth in the sector the study examined the overall needs of Malaysia to place itself in the best position to benefit. Taking forward a previous study the Straits Riviera Cruise Strategy the blue print outlined the physical developments required, the potential benefits from addressing the sector effectively and the regulatory and capacity development within Malaysia required to deliver the products and services that the cruise lines want to buy.
