Carnival Cruise are planning to deploy a cruise ship out of Australia to call in PNG. Seaport were appointed by International Finance Corporation (IFC) to develop a plan to enable the call of cruise ships across PNG.
The terminal/landing facilitates required were designed and costed. How these facilities could be implemented was considered and an action plan prepared.
All work was done in close cooperation with Carnival Cruise planners.
The economic and social impact of the cruise calls was assessed to consider if the support of land side developments by IFC could be justified.
